Outcome Based Education

Comp - Head of Department

The Department of Computer Engineering Enriches teaching learning process by providing Outcome- Based Education (OBE). OBE adopts a student-centered approach to evaluate student's knowledge, skills, and abilities based on measurable outcomes and achievements. Students of Computer department are not only placed at different industries but also they are entrepreneur and made their carrier in the other fields. It also places a strong emphasis on ensuring student success, which is reflected in the high success rate of 97.14% in the Department. In order to ensure a consistent growth in success rates, the department continuously monitor the academic progress of the student's through strong teacher Guardian system. It also offers additional lectures, remedial sessions, formative assessments, and doubt-solving sessions. Moreover, the department has consistently achieved a professional placement rate of above 90% over the past five years. To enhance student's abilities and support the OBE approach, we offer training through Internships & Employability Skill Development program, which equips students with the necessary skills to thrive in the industry.

The Department of Computer Engineering also provides training for Program Based Examinations (PBE), such as GATE, GRE, TOEFL, and CAT, to prepare students for competitive exams. As a result, many of our students have successfully cleared competitive examinations. Additionally, we offer counseling services to guide students through the admissions process for higher studies, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance. Consequently, a significant number of our students have gained admission to prestigious institutions, including those ranked within the top 10 such as Stanford University, Stanford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology [MIT], California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, Columbia University, New York City, University of Toronto, New York City, Northwestern University, Evanston, University of Chicago. To align the curriculum with industry standards, the department actively seeks input from various stakeholders, including industry experts, alumni members, and entrepreneurs. This collaborative effort bridges the gap between industry trends and the curriculum, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future careers. The department prioritizes and designs curriculum around STEM education, enabling students to build a solid base in scientific inquiry, technological innovation, engineering design, and mathematical reasoning.

Implementing OBE in the department not only enhances the institution's reputation but also supports accreditation processes. Moreover, it effectively prepares students for further education or employment, setting them on a path for success.
